Karen brings a practical, sales-focused design perspective to her work, shaped by years of experience staging and re-designing spaces to appeal to buyers. She earned her real estate license and became an Accredited Staging Professional in 2004, and her background includes working with builders, designing and staging retail furniture showrooms, and creating model apartments and common spaces for senior living communities. This experience gives Karen a strong understanding of buyer preferences and how forward-thinking design choices influence value and demand.
As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), Karen is deeply committed to working with older adults and their families during times of transition. She regularly leads seminars and webinars on downsizing, home preparation, and current real estate trends, and collaborates with trusted professionals who support aging clients through life transitions. She is an active member of the Coalition of Geriatric Services and continually pursues professional development on all topics related to aging.
Having lived in Ocean City, Maryland much of her life and as a current beach property owner, Karen brings a long-standing, personal understanding of the coastal lifestyle and real estate market. She serves clients throughout Central Maryland as well as the Maryland/Delaware beach communities, including Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, Fenwick Island, Ocean City, West Ocean City, Ocean Pines, and Berlin.
Karen is knowledgeable in American Sign Language and works with a trusted network of professionals fluent in ASL to support accessible communication when needed.
